STUDI KUASI EKSPERIMENTAL: PENGARUH WHITE NOISE DALAM PIJAT BAYI TERHADAP KUALITAS TIDUR BAYI
THE EFFECT OF WHITE NOISE DURING INFANT MASSAGE ON INFANT SLEEP QUALITY: A QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL STUDY
Abstract

White noise has been shown to help improve infant sleep quality and therefore can be combined with infant massage. This study aimed to determine the effect of white noise during infant massage on infant sleep quality. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group. Total sampling was used as the sampling technique. A total of 60 infants aged 6–12 months were divided into two groups: 30 infants in the intervention group received white noise during infant massage, while 30 infants in the control group received infant massage only. Infant sleep quality was measured before and after the intervention using the Brief Infant Sleep Questionnaire (BISQ) and analyzed using the Independent Sample T-test. The results showed a p-value of 0.042, indicating that white noise during infant massage had a significant effect on infant sleep quality. In conclusion, white noise can be used as an additional music therapy to improve infant sleep quality.
